What is a First Contact Physiotherapist?
This service provides direct access to a specialist First Contact Physiotherapist for initial assessment for musculoskeletal conditions. It is designed to be a triage service rather than a traditional treatment service.
Our FCP Karen will see Musculoskeletal conditions such as: Back pain, Shoulder and Neck pain, Tennis elbow, Knee pain and Sports injuries to name a few examples.
Different Physiotherapists will have differing levels of training and will require more or less support from a practice GP than others. Other qualifications include injection therapy and Non-Medical Prescribing.
